Are you charming, witty, charismatic, eloquent and inspirational?

No I’m not completing a dating site profile…I’m wondering if you have what it takes to deliver that all important keynote speech?!

I often get asked the question, “so what does it take?”  

In my opinion…

01: GET EMOTIONAL
Yes it is important to emotionally connect with your audience. Why? Because all humans are irrational, emotional creatures, there is something deeper going on at a subconscious, emotional level and if you can connect with that then you’ll have everyone’s attention, you will have control of the room.

02: TELLING STORIES
We all remember a good story. Your presentation has to be memorable…it must have purpose and it needs to inspire.

03: CAPTIVATE YOUR AUDIENCE
Speak from the heart, be passionate about what you are saying. If you don’t believe it, why should anyone else?

04: PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE
You need to be focused, that means you must rehearse over and over and over again, so your story will tell itself, leaving you free to be yourself (charming, witty, charismatic, eloquent).

05: SAY WHAT YOU MEAN AND MEAN WHAT YOU SAY
By taking time to think, plan and prepare, you will be able to deliver all of the above. This is the magic that will enthral your audience and have them completely engrossed on every word you say.

And the best part is, the more you do it the easier it becomes!
